Combine Your Order & Save on Shipping — Consolidation Guide

International shipping is usually the biggest extra cost when you collect from Japan. The good news: our shipping is charged per parcel, by total weight — so ordering several items together is almost always cheaper than ordering them one by one. This guide shows exactly how the maths works and how to make the most of it.

How our shipping rates work

Every order ships from Tokyo as one tracked parcel. The rate is based on the total weight of your whole order, not the number of items:

Total order weight Standard tracked shipping
Up to 500 g USD 15
500 g – 1 kg USD 20
1 kg – 2 kg USD 30
2 kg – 3 kg USD 40
3 kg – 5 kg USD 55

The exact rate for your address is always shown at checkout before you pay.

The maths: why one cart beats three

Example — two trading card sets (about 400 g each):

Ordered separately: USD 15 + USD 15 = USD 30 shipping
Ordered in one cart (800 g total): USD 20 shipping — you save USD 10

Example — three figures (about 450 g each):

Ordered separately: USD 15 × 3 = USD 45 shipping
Ordered in one cart (about 1.4 kg total): USD 30 shipping — you save USD 15

On top of the lower cost, one combined parcel means one tracking number to follow and a single customs entry instead of several.

The reliable way to combine: one cart, one checkout

The simplest and only guaranteed way to get combined shipping is to add everything to your cart before checking out. Shopify calculates the weight of the whole cart automatically and applies the single-parcel rate — no request needed, no waiting for a reply.

Still deciding? Browsing over a few days is fine — items stay available until someone buys them, so if you are choosing between several pieces, checking out once at the end of the week usually costs less than three quick separate orders. (For one-of-a-kind used collectibles, the trade-off is that a listed item can sell to someone else while you wait — if it is rare, secure it first.)

Already placed separate orders?

If you placed two or more orders and none of them has shipped yet, contact us as soon as possible and we will tell you honestly what is possible for your specific orders:

  1. Go to our Contact page.
  2. Include every order number (for example: “Please combine orders #1012 and #1015”).
  3. We will reply with whether the parcels can still be packed together before dispatch.
  4. If they can be combined, we recalculate shipping using the combined weight of everything — exactly as if you had ordered in one cart — and refund the difference to your original payment method.

Orders are usually dispatched within 1–10 business days, so the sooner you contact us, the more likely combining is still possible. Orders that have already shipped cannot be combined.

Consolidation FAQ

What happens to the shipping I already paid on separate orders?
When we combine your orders, we recalculate shipping from the combined weight and refund anything you paid above that. Two quick examples:

  • Two orders that each paid USD 15, combined into one 800 g parcel: the one-parcel rate is USD 20, so we refund USD 10.
  • Two single trading cards that together still weigh under 500 g: the one-parcel rate is USD 15, so we refund the full extra USD 15.

Does combining delay my delivery?
No — a combined cart ships on the same schedule as any single order (1–10 business days processing, most within 3–5).

Is combined shipping safe for fragile items?
Yes. Every parcel is packed with protective material for international transit, whether it contains one item or five. Figures and graded cards are individually protected inside the box.

What about customs?
One parcel means one customs declaration for your country instead of several. Import duties and taxes, where applicable, remain the buyer's responsibility — see our Shipping Policy for details.

Where can I track my combined parcel?
The same way as any order — see Where Is My Order? Tracking Your Delivery from Japan.
