How do I order — do I need a proxy service?

No proxy needed. We are the seller and ship worldwide directly from Japan, so you check out like any online store. Pay by credit card, Shop Pay, Apple Pay or Google Pay.

Why buy direct instead of through a Japan proxy?

A proxy adds a per-item or per-order service commission and an extra domestic-shipping leg to its warehouse before your item ships abroad. Buying direct removes those layers — you pay the item price plus one tracked shipping charge. See our full direct-vs-proxy cost breakdown.

How much is shipping and how long does it take?

Shipping is calculated at checkout by destination, weight and carrier (Japan Post / EMS, FedEx, DHL, UPS) and that is the final shipping cost from us. We dispatch from Tokyo within 1–10 business days (most within 3–5). Typical transit after dispatch is 5–14 days to the US/Canada/EU and 7–14 days to Australia/New Zealand.

Can I track my order?

Yes. Every order ships fully tracked and you receive a tracking number covering the whole journey from Tokyo to your door.

Who pays customs duties and import taxes?

International buyers are responsible for any customs duties, import taxes or VAT charged by the destination country; these are set and collected by your country's customs, not by us. Your carrier handles the customs clearance.

How do I know items are authentic?

Every item is sourced inside Japan and hand-inspected before it ships — we check manufacturer stamps, sculpt and packaging details. We never import overseas reproductions. See our authenticity guide and the detailed product FAQ.

What does your return policy cover?

Returns are accepted only for items that are unopened and unused (box sealed, item not removed from packaging), in re-sellable condition, with notice to info@hdtoysjapan.com within 7 days of delivery; the buyer covers return shipping and the original outbound shipping is non-refundable. Opened or used items, sale/clearance items, and trading cards cannot be returned. Full terms are in our Refund Policy.

What if my item arrives damaged or the wrong item is sent?

Contact info@hdtoysjapan.com within 48 hours of delivery with your order number and clear photos of the item, packaging and any damage. Once verified, an equivalent replacement is the default remedy, or a refund if no equivalent is available; we cover return shipping on verified defective or wrong-item cases.

What if the item is not as described?

Our as-described guarantee covers items that arrive materially different from their listing description and photos — a wrong item or variant, an undisclosed significant defect, or condition materially worse than stated — even if the item has been opened. Contact us within 7 days of delivery with photos showing the discrepancy; we replace or refund, and cover return shipping if a return is required. This is separate from a change-of-mind return (which follows the unopened conditions). Normal pre-owned wear noted or photographed in the listing is considered as-described.

What happens if my package is lost in transit?

Every order ships fully tracked. If a tracked parcel is confirmed lost — the carrier confirms loss, or tracking shows no movement or delivery for 30 or more days beyond the latest estimate — we reship the item (if available) or refund you. A parcel that is simply delayed but still in transit (customs, weather, carrier backlog) is not the same as lost; we help you track it while it completes delivery. See our Shipping Policy.
