BE@RBRICK Michael Jordan 1985 ROOKIE JERSEY 400％ Action Figure Medicom Toy

The BE@RBRICK Michael Jordan 1985 ROOKIE JERSEY 400% is a collaborative collectible that brings together two cultural touchstones: Medicom Toy's instantly recognizable bear-shaped vinyl figure and the iconic early-career image of Michael Jordan. BE@RBRICK (pronounced "Bearbrick") has been a cornerstone of Japanese designer toy culture since 2001, and when the series intersects with legendary sports moments like Jordan's rookie season, the resulting figure becomes a crossover piece sought after by both toy collectors and basketball memorabilia enthusiasts. This particular release channels the energy of Jordan's 1985 rookie year, a moment widely considered the beginning of one of the most important careers in sports history.

This figure is the 400% scale, which is the larger of the two most popular BE@RBRICK sizes and is favored by collectors who want a more substantial display piece with greater visual impact than the standard 100% version. It is produced by Medicom Toy, the Japanese company behind the entire BE@RBRICK line and well-known for its licensing collaborations across fashion, music, film, and sports properties. The design pays tribute to Jordan's 1985 rookie jersey era, with the bear silhouette serving as a canvas for the familiar colorway and uniform details associated with that pivotal first NBA season.

Within the broader BE@RBRICK ecosystem, Michael Jordan-themed releases occupy a special place. They sit at the intersection of streetwear, sneaker culture, and sports history — the same cultural overlap that has made Jordan Brand itself such an enduring force. Collectors in Japan have long treated BE@RBRICKs as both display art and investment pieces, and figures tied to iconic athletes tend to hold strong interest on the secondary market. Sourcing these pieces directly from Japan is meaningful because the domestic Japanese market is where BE@RBRICK culture originated and where the figures are often best preserved and most carefully handled by original owners.

This is a pre-owned item that has been inspected before listing and will ship from Japan. Where original packaging is included, it may show signs of shelf wear, light scuffs, creasing, or storage marks consistent with age and handling — this is normal for collectible figures that have passed through the secondary market, and we do not represent the item as factory-sealed or mint unless specifically stated. Buyers who prioritize display condition of the figure itself over pristine box condition will find pre-owned BE@RBRICKs an excellent way to add classic releases to their collection without chasing increasingly scarce new-old-stock prices.

On display, a 400% BE@RBRICK has real presence. It is large enough to anchor a shelf arrangement on its own, yet still fits comfortably alongside sneaker displays, framed jerseys, trading cards, or other 400% figures in a rotating collection. The Jordan rookie jersey design works especially well in a sports-themed setup, next to vintage basketball memorabilia or Air Jordan 1 displays, where the color story and era reference tie everything together. For fans who grew up on highlight reels of Jordan's early Bulls years, or for younger collectors discovering that era through documentaries and reissued sneakers, this figure is a tangible way to celebrate a defining chapter of basketball history through the lens of Japanese designer toy craftsmanship.

Whether you are building out a BE@RBRICK wall, curating a Michael Jordan tribute shelf, or simply looking for a statement piece that bridges sports and art-toy collecting, this Medicom Toy release delivers on multiple fronts. Pre-owned examples sourced from Japan offer collectors outside the country a more direct line to pieces that might otherwise be difficult to track down locally, and each figure carries its own small history from its previous collection into yours.
