Transformers Masterpiece MP-52 Starscream Ver.2.0 Robot F-15 Eagle Takara Tomy

The Transformers Masterpiece MP-52 Starscream Ver.2.0 is Takara Tomy's refined take on one of the most iconic Decepticons in the entire Transformers mythos. Part of the long-running Masterpiece line, which is widely regarded as the gold standard for adult collectors, this release updates Starscream with proportions, articulation, and detailing meant to more closely echo his classic G1 animation appearance while retaining a convincing F-15 Eagle jet alternate mode. For fans who grew up watching Starscream scheme against Megatron, having a Masterpiece-grade version on the shelf is something close to a rite of passage.

This listing is for the MP-52 Starscream Ver.2.0 figure produced by Takara Tomy, the Japanese manufacturer behind the original Transformers toy line. As the designation "Ver.2.0" indicates, this release is an evolution of the earlier Masterpiece Starscream mold, incorporating revised engineering and sculpt updates. The character transforms between his signature robot form and an F-15 Eagle fighter jet, true to the character's long-standing design heritage. Any specific accessories, pack-ins, or finish details should be confirmed via the listing photos, as this description is kept to what the product title itself establishes.

Within the broader Transformers Masterpiece catalog, Starscream occupies a central spot alongside figures like MP-36 Megatron and the various MP Seeker releases. The Ver.2.0 upgrade is especially appealing to collectors who already own MP-11 or earlier Starscream figures and want a more animation-accurate companion piece — or to newer collectors looking for a definitive version of the character without hunting down older releases. Japanese-market Takara Tomy Masterpieces are generally considered the preferred versions by enthusiasts due to their paint applications and packaging presentation compared with overseas Hasbro counterparts, which is a significant part of why pre-owned Japan-sourced Masterpieces continue to hold their value in the secondary market.

This is a pre-owned item sourced and shipped from Japan. It has been inspected prior to listing, and we do our best to represent its condition accurately through the product photos. As with any previously owned collectible, the figure and its original box may show some signs of handling, shelf wear, or minor imperfections consistent with age and prior ownership. We do not claim the item to be mint or factory-sealed unless explicitly stated. Buyers who want additional close-up photos or specific condition details are welcome to reach out before purchasing.

On display, MP-52 Starscream is a figure that genuinely rewards the space you give it. In robot mode he strikes the arrogant, hands-on-hips Air Commander poses that defined the character on screen, and in jet mode he slots neatly into a Seeker lineup if you already have Thundercracker, Skywarp, or any of the other Masterpiece jets. Lit from above on a shelf, the combination of the cartoon-styled head sculpt and the sharp F-15 lines really sells why so many collectors consider the Masterpiece series the best way to honor the original Generation 1 designs. Whether you're adding a cornerstone Decepticon to a growing MP collection or finally picking up the Starscream you've been waiting on, this Takara Tomy release remains one of the most sought-after figures in the lineup.
