Can't Find It Outside Japan? How HDC Searches for It
Condividi
Many Japanese figures, toys, and cards are released only in Japan, and once they leave store shelves they mostly circulate in domestic second-hand shops and marketplaces that are hard to reach from abroad. Listings on those sites are usually written only in Japanese, many sellers ship only to Japanese addresses, and popular items can sell within hours of being listed. If the item you want is not in our store, send us the details and our team in Japan can check domestic sources on your behalf. This guide walks through each step of that request, explains what you can expect at each point, and answers the questions we are asked most often. The images below are an example of the flow, not a record of a specific order.
1. Tell us what you are looking for

Send the product name and useful details such as the maker, series, version, size, reference photo, or product code. Japanese releases often come in several versions, such as first-run, reissue, store-exclusive, or event-limited editions, so a photo or code helps us look for the right one. Please also tell us the condition you are willing to accept, for example sealed only, opened but complete, or loose, and whether a missing outer box is acceptable.
2. HDC searches within Japan

We check suitable domestic sources for a matching item, such as second-hand specialty shops and Japanese marketplaces. Availability varies, so a request does not guarantee that we will find one. Rare or older items can take longer to appear, and some never resurface. If we cannot find a suitable match, we will let you know rather than suggest an item that does not fit your request.
3. Review condition, photos, and the quote

If we find a possible match, we share the available condition details, photos, and an estimate before you decide. Second-hand listings in Japan often describe small issues such as box wear, sun fading, or missing inserts, and we pass on what the listing and the seller state. We do not judge or certify authenticity, so please review the photos carefully and ask us questions before you decide.
4. Purchase from a dedicated page

When you choose to proceed, we prepare a dedicated store page so you can review the item and purchase through our store. Paying through the regular store checkout means you use the same payment methods and order confirmation as any other purchase, instead of sending money through a private message.
5. Tracked shipping from Japan

After purchase and preparation, the parcel is sent from Japan with tracking. Timing and import requirements depend on the destination. Customs duties, taxes, and processing fees are set by the destination country and may apply on arrival, so please check your local rules before ordering. Once the parcel ships, you can follow it with the tracking number we send.
Frequently asked questions
Does a request guarantee availability?
No. Stock and condition change quickly, and we only report options we can reasonably identify.
Do I have to buy an item you find?
No. You can review the photos, condition information, and estimate before deciding.
What information helps the search?
A product name, maker, series, version, product code, reference image, and acceptable condition are useful.
What kinds of items can I ask about?
Requests usually involve Japanese figures, toys, trading cards, and related collectibles. If you are unsure whether an item fits, send the details and we will tell you whether we can look for it.
Can you check authenticity?
We do not certify authenticity. We share the photos and condition information that are available so that you can make your own decision before purchasing.
Who pays import duties and taxes?
Import duties, taxes, and fees depend on the destination country and are generally charged by the local authorities or the carrier on arrival. Please check the rules for your country before you order.
