The Legend Of Zelda Ocarina Time Original Soundtrack CD Limited Nintendo 1998

Step into the world of Hyrule with the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Original Soundtrack, a limited CD release from Nintendo dating back to 1998. This soundtrack captures the full musical identity of one of the most celebrated video games ever made, composed by Koji Kondo and originally released alongside the Nintendo 64 debut of Ocarina of Time. For fans of the Zelda franchise, this disc is more than background music — it is the sound of a generation-defining adventure, and an increasingly sought-after piece for serious collectors of Nintendo memorabilia.

This listing is for the original 1998 Japanese pressing of the Ocarina of Time soundtrack, released as a limited item through Nintendo. As stated in the title, it is a CD format release, produced in Japan during the same era as the game's launch on the Nintendo 64. Any further specifications beyond what the title confirms — year of release, format, publisher, and limited status — are not claimed here, so collectors can evaluate the item on its documented provenance alone. The disc contains the memorable in-game themes that defined the Ocarina of Time experience, from Hyrule Field to the Lost Woods, Zelda's Lullaby, Gerudo Valley, and the many ocarina melodies players learned throughout their journey.

Within the broader Zelda collecting community, Ocarina of Time holds a nearly untouchable place. The game is routinely cited as one of the greatest titles of all time, and the original Japanese soundtrack release is a key piece of its history. Japan-market Nintendo releases from the late 1990s tend to carry stronger collector value due to the quality of the original print runs, Japanese-market exclusivity on certain limited pressings, and the care with which many Japanese owners stored their media. Finding a copy that has survived from 1998 and traveled through the Japanese secondhand market is part of what makes this piece appealing — it carries the authenticity of its origin country rather than being a later reprint or import variant.

This is a pre-owned item sourced and shipped directly from Japan. It has been inspected before listing, and while the CD itself has been handled with care, buyers should expect signs of age consistent with a release that is more than 25 years old. The outer case, inserts, or obi (if present) may show shelf wear, minor scuffs, yellowing, or other cosmetic signs of time. This is not described as sealed or mint, and no claims are made beyond what can be reasonably confirmed. Collectors familiar with vintage Japanese game soundtracks will understand what to expect from a disc of this era.

On display, this soundtrack makes a strong companion piece to any Ocarina of Time or Nintendo 64 collection. The original Japanese cover art and typography have a distinct identity that reprints and international releases simply do not replicate, and the CD looks at home alongside cartridges, strategy guides, and other Zelda franchise memorabilia from the late 1990s. For fans who grew up with Link's journey through time, hearing the music on its original CD release — rather than a streaming playlist — is part of the appeal. It is a tangible artifact of a landmark moment in video game history, and one of the more meaningful audio releases Nintendo issued during the Nintendo 64 era.

Whether you are expanding a dedicated Zelda shelf, filling a gap in your Nintendo soundtrack collection, or simply looking for an authentic piece of 1998 Japan to pair with your copy of Ocarina of Time, this limited CD release remains one of the defining music collectibles of the franchise. Pre-owned, Japan-sourced, and offered as-is with honest expectations around its age and condition.
